Martin placed 4th in the Masters 50 – 59 16 Lap Points Race, while Peter H, was 2nd in the Masters 60+ 10 Lap Points Race.

The Hummingbirds continue to blast their way to the finish line at the Trinidad & Tobago 2013 National Track Championships at the Arima Velodrome!
Our latest accomplishment … We placed 4th in the Elite Men 750 Team Sprint.
Another major highlight on Day 5 … Peter H surged to the front of the Masters 60+ event.

In the 4km Individual Pursuit for Elite Men, Sheldon was 5th fastest with a time of 5:27.302 … Sheldon is in against some tough competition and showing really well.
Rocky continues his winning ways, powering his way to another National Champion event jersey in the 750m Time Trial for Masters 45-49. He set a blistering pace of 56.01, over 1.5 secs fastest than his nearest rival.
Martin secured another podium finish, placing second in the 500m Time Trial for Masters 50-54 in a time of 41.011.
Peter is a ‘rock’ of consistency placing fourth in the 500m Time Trial for Masters 60-64. His time … 43.573.

In the Match Sprint for Masters 45-49, Rocky set a blistering pace of 12.09, besting his competition by over 1.5 secs. On Day 2, Rocky continues to show his form, finishing 2nd in the 3km Individual Pursuit. Rocky is a dominant force in this category. Got to love that red National Championship jersey.
Martin was a close 2nd in the Match Sprint for Masters 50-54, putting down atime of 13.40. In the 2km Individual Pursuit he was again 2nd in a time of 3:05.98.
Peter H, is continuing to show strongly as he returns to competition, in the Match Sprint for Masters 60-64, he finished 2nd, setting a respectable time of 14.238. In the 2km Individual Pursuit he was 1st with a time of 3:04.21. Watch out Martin, he would have edged you if he was in your category. Awesome ride Peter!

The 2013 National Track Cycling Championships started May 4 and continues till May 12th 2013 at the Arima Velodrome.
This promises to be an exciting event as Trinidad crowns its track champions.
